 MEHUL BHATT

A graduate of School of Architecture, CEPT, Ahmedabad, Mehul, Director and Principal Architect, has been a practicing architect since 1996. Having extensively worked on projects of varied scales, sizes and complexities, he brings to the team an understanding of architecture and urban design from a phenomenological perspective. He strives towards achieving a qualitative belonging of the users, a sense of Place, in his architecture.

Before joining JMADC as a director in 2001, Mehul was a part of Kapadia Associates, Mumbai (1996 - 2001), Shilanyas Architects, Ahmedabad (1995 - 1996) and GDK Collaborative (1995). 

Apart from being a full time architect, he is also passionate about photography , driving, being the dad, music, graffiti, making models, reading books (especially Salman Rushdie and Milan Kundera), travelling and....... world peace.

 

DR. JIGNA DESAI

An alumnus from Cardiff University, Wales and School of Architecture, CEPT, Ahmedabad, Jigna is the founding director and consultant of the firm. Having done her specialization in sustainable design, she brings to the firm frameworks of sustainability. Her strengths are in developing design processes that are relevant to each project and her involvement ensures a systemic perspective at all scales. 

Jigna is a full time faculty at CEPT University, Ahmedabad since 2008 and is involved in teaching and research in architecture, sustainable design and conservation. She has also done her Doctoral Studies at CEPT University. (http://cept.ac.in/faculty/jigna-desai)

If doing all the things she is involved in does not manage to keep her busy, she likes to wander around in public transport, watch movies, read and write. 

 

ANKITA PATEL

Ankita, also an alumnus of School of Architecture, CEPT, Ahmedabad, joined the firm in 2006 as an associate architect. With a keen eye for detail and an understanding of aesthetics with reference to materials, environment & user aspirations, she has worked on a wide range of interior design projects. Her ability to personalize spaces for the end-users has resulted in sensitive interior environments at various scales. She has a keen interest in developing and designing products/ accessories for interior environments.

She is an avid traveler and a trek enthusiast.
